Flu Vaccine 2026-27
Essex Pediatrics has flu vaccine for the 2026-27 season. We are offering drive-thru clinics (scheduled online here) as well as in-office clinics which are scheduled over the phone.
Drive-thru clinics are for patients and household members 5-64 years of age. These clinics are intended to be quick, efficient and a convenient way for a busy family to get vaccinated against the flu all at once. Kids in a drive-thru clinic tend to be less anxious; many bring their friendly family dog along for the ride. Because these clinics are so fast paced and vaccines are given while seated, we find kids younger than 5 do better in an in-office clinic where we have a little more time for distraction techniques if needed. If you know your child will need extra time, please let us know when you call to schedule.
If your child has a prescheduled visit with their provider, siblings may also get their flu vaccine at that visit. Please call ahead to let us know they are coming. We won’t be able to accommodate adult household members at the prescheduled provider visits. However, we can accommodate you in an in-office clinic, let the scheduler know when you call.
Covid vaccine guidelines will be available and posted sometime in September. Covid most likely will not be offered in a drive-thru clinic. Thank you for your patience.
