Paul Davis MA, LCMHC Psychotherapist

Paul Davis, MA, LCMHC is a fully Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. In 2008, he graduated with a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Appalachian State University along with a Post-Master’s Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy. Since that time, Paul spent much of his career working with children and families in various therapeutic settings, also taking time off to be a stay-at-home parent. Paul uses a “toolbox” approach when working with others, with inspiration drawn from Humanistic, Experiential, and Cognitive-Behavioral approaches. Much of his style can be very practical when working with families, while play and art-based methods are a major feature. Paul has received specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Gestalt Therapy. Paul speaks an advanced level of Spanish which can be used to communicate with supports in session. In his free time, Paul enjoys traveling with family, making music, skiing, mountain biking, and playing video games with his daughter.
