Mental Health Group Interns 2025-2026

Danielle Cummings grew up in St. Albans, Vermont, and is a counseling intern currently completing her second post-graduate program in Clinical Counseling at Saint Michael’s College. She graduated from Saint Michael’s College with a BA in psychology, minoring in criminology. Danielle was also an athlete on the Saint Michael’s field hockey team from 2020-2024.  Over this year, she has gained clinical experience with children in grades K-2 while working at Milton Elementary School, helping them learn how to regulate and understand their emotions through individual and group counseling. She is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating life’s challenges. Danielle loves playing field hockey, skiing, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.

Molly Doran is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Wake Forest University and currently serves as the Dean of Students at Burlington High School. Originally from Massachusetts, she has lived in Vermont for the past eight years. Molly has been at BHS for five years, where she supports adolescents through academic, social, and emotional challenges. Prior to this role, she worked as a counseling teacher at Centerpoint School, a therapeutic alternative school. She earned her undergraduate degree in Media & Society from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she also played on the varsity squash team. After graduation, Molly served with City Year in San Antonio, working with high school students in under-resourced schools. She has over a decade of experience working with adolescents and is deeply passionate about supporting the mental health of youth and their families. Outside of her professional life, Molly enjoys playing tennis, taking walks with her dog Pepper, and cheering on the Boston Celtics.

Leanne Estridge is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Vermont State University and currently serves as a mental health clinician with Laraway Youth & Family Services’ Substitute Care division. Leanne provides counseling for children and adolescents and coaches families & caregivers in trauma-informed parenting. Using a strengths-based approach, Leanne tailors treatment to meet the unique needs of each child, teen, and family she works with. Leanne enjoys live music, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She has a background in online media and integrated marketing analytics. While she identifies as a Vermonter, she is still learning how to ski.

Zoe Grossman is a Master of Social Work student at the University of Vermont. She is originally from Westchester, New York and found home in Vermont after attending UVM for her Bachelor’s in Social Work degree. Zoe has been working at Pathways Vermont providing service coordination support for the past several years. Zoe also has experience working with the UVMMC New American Health Clinic as well as the Janet S. Munt Family Room.  Zoe enjoys reading, cooking, camping, playing volleyball, swimming in the lake, doing arts and crafts, and playing with her cat! 

Izzy Miquel is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Vermont State University. Originally from Vermont, she moved out West in 2016 to attend Montana State University and earn an undergraduate degree in Human Development & Family Studies. After returning to Vermont, Izzy has spent the last several years as a preschool teacher with Champlain Valley Head Start, where she developed a passion for supporting children and families. Izzy is dedicated to supporting the mental health care of children and families. Outside of work, Izzy loves to spend time with her partner and dog, explore Vermont’s natural bodies of water, attend live music, and practice yoga. 

Julia Nolan is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at New England College. Julia grew up in Essex town and went on to attend the University of Vermont, majoring in psychology with a minor in human development. In her free time, she loves to read, scrapbook, spend time outdoors, and watch movies. Julia also enjoys spending time with her fiancé, two dogs, friends, and family.
