Shannon Porter MS Mental Health Coordinator

Shannon Porter (she/her) is a mental health coordinator on our team. Shannon has a passion for supporting children and families in accessing mental health supports and services. Shannon has her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vermont State University.

Shannon has specialized training in trauma-informed parenting, adoption informed care, the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) model and perinatal mental health. Shannon provides parent support services and is trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and The Incredible Years® program. Her experience supporting individuals and families navigating addiction, significant mental health challenges, and other life stressors allows her to take a warm, collaborative approach that is rooted in person-centered care. Shannon believes that every child, caregiver, and family deserves to feel understood, supported, and empowered.  In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, and her two goldendoodles.
