Ali Waltien MSCP Licensed Psychologist - Master

Ali started her career in the mental health field working as a certified child life specialist at UVM Children’s Hospital for 12 years, where she supported a wide range of pediatric patients and families facing medical stressors. While at UVM Children’s Hospital, Ali developed a program to work with the children of adult patients, supporting children impacted by an adult loved one’s serious illness or death. Ali received her masters in Clinical Psychology from St. Michael’s College in 2014 and in 2021 made the decision to transition out of her child life specialist role into private practice. Ali joined the Essex Pediatrics team in 2021 and specializes in supporting children impacted by medical stressors, grief, anxiety, trauma, and depression. Ali enjoys working with family systems and collaborating with community providers when necessary. In her free time Ali can be found outside; skiing and sledding in the winter, gardening in the summer, and hiking all year round.
